Tom was the heart behind All Things DOS I was just the technical support. Tom had most of the computers and when he passed he left them to me. However, Tom lived in Springfield, Oregon and I live several states away. It has taken me months but this last week I transported everything back to my place. Now comes the fun of finding a place for everything, getting them setup and tested, etc.

I’m not sure how many computers we have all together. I am hoping to get together a full set of the old IBMs. I know we have one or more PCs. I think we have a XT, and I know we have an old Portable “lunch box. I want to get a PC Jr and an AT. To round out the set of early IBMs. We have Macs, Apples, two TRS-80s and a bit more. I will be going through these and documenting everything one at a time.

Those who have been with the group for a while should all know Alice, Tom’ IBM PC 5150 with mono monitor, printer, expansion unit and so much more. Alice is the girl who started it all, Tom’s pride and joy. The love of his life. Sorry Kris, Alice was evicted from her desk and forced to live in my SUV for a while. Now I need to find her a desk to call home and get her setup. These are the before photos of Alice on her old desk. Expect more photos as I get her a new home.
